Continued Professional Development
(CPD - Refresher)
This is for your IASI licence or other Associations participating in the CPD scheme.
CPD refreshers for various governing bodies around the world. Let us know which governing body you need to update. Contact your governing body to inform them of this update. A Form will be sent from the governing body for the Educator to sign & the student to list the content and process.

These will be run by IASI (Ireland) SSS (Scotland) Educators, Trainers, Examiners.
They will cover the requirements for all National Governing Bodies.
This can be booked for Individuals or as private groups of up to 5 people.
Check Your Level of Qualification and number of CPD days Required
Level 1 & 2 Instructors: Every snow sports Instructor licence will have the refresher / CPD date stated on their licence.
Level 1 & 2 qualified instructors need to keep their instructors licence up to date every 3 years with a CPD / Refresher.

Level 3 & 4 Instructors: Every Instructor licence will have the refresher / CPD date stated on their licence.
Level 3 & 4 qualified instructors need to keep their instructors licence up to date 1 day every year or 3 days every 3 years with a CPD / Refresher.

Lead Trainer / Educator Ali Smith: Level 4 Instructor CTT + ISIA Stamp Holder Europe, IASI Examiner Alpine, SnowSport Scotland - Tutor/ Examiner
Level 4 Coach IVSI, Brevet Federal - Swiss Diploma, Snowboard Instructor, Telemark Instructor, Race Coach.
Ski Definition has a team of Educators to deliver these courses.

Time: 3 hour session at The Snow Centre Hemel Hempstead + 1 hour home study.
Cost: £160.00 first person, with additional people
(up to 5persons) charged at £40.00 per person.
Cost can then be divided by all 5 persons.

As members of ISIA and part of the EU Delegated act legislation Article 49b of Directive 2005/36/EC,
to grant equivalence, candidates need to convert to the association through the processes listed below.
Alpine Ski
Level 1 - Candidates will be granted full equivalence for our level 1 certification
Level 2 - Candidates will be granted full conversion to our level 2 certification subject to passing an assessment day with one of our education team. The assessment will be assessed to IASI's level 2 standard.
Level 3 - Candidates will be required to pass a 3-day conversion exam. We will accept all ISIA stamp modules held by the candidate. The assessment will be both technical and teaching based (English language required). The technical assessment will cover all strands in IASI's level 3 standards. The teaching will require the candidate to teach a session or two to their peers using one of the technical criteria.
Level 4 - Candidates will be required to pass a 3-day conversion exam. We will accept all ISIA card/CTT modules held by the candidate. The assessment will be both technical and teaching based (English language required). The technical assessment will cover all strands in IASI's level 4 standards. The teaching will require the candidate to teach a session or two to their peers using one of the technical criteria.
